City of Lafayette: Hard-to-Recycle Event

The Lafayette Police Department and Sustainability Division invite residents to the Hard-To-Recycle event.
Drop off items for free! There is a fee for some electronics.
- Household batteries (no leaking, please use clear tape on both terminal ends of all batteries)
- Fluorescent tubes and bulbs (labeled with the letters “Hg” (Mercury)
- Plastic Film (bubble wrap, plastic shopping bags, Ziploc bags) film must be empty, clean, and dry with stickers and receipts removed. (No plastic food wrap)
- Small electronics with batteries or cords, no broken glass CRT TV’s or projection TV’s
- Paint (Latex and Oil Based)
- Scrap metal (Must be 50% metal by weight and no refrigerants or pressurized tanks)
- Household cleaners (Bring in original containers, no leaks)
- NEW - Prescription Drugs: No needles, illicit drugs, or radioactive substances.
- NEW - Paper for shredding: Maximum of three bags or boxes
Location: Flatirons Church Back Parking Lot, 201 Waneka Pkwy (enter on S. Boulder road for easier entry)
