Why should you become a member of the COCC?

With its strong local, state, and national affiliations, the Colorado Composting Council (COCC) is uniquely positioned to drive progress and unite people and organizations across the composting industry. Your voice is essential to advancing the practices, policies, and markets that will shape the future of organics diversion and composting in Colorado.

Instructions for joining the Colorado Composting Council Membership

Full voting membership in the Colorado Composting Council (COCC) requires membership in BOTH our national compost association, the US Composting Council (USCC), and our state non-profit, Recycle Colorado (RC).

The COCC is a state chapter of the USCC and a council with Recycle Colorado. Through its association with the USCC and RC, the COCC advocates to improve composting infrastructure, end markets, product standards and policy.

To join the Colorado Composting Council, first search our database for your existing business or individual profile through the search function on the membership application. This will help to ensure that you are a Recycle Colorado member before joining the Compsoting Council. If you are not a Recycle Colorado Member, you will need to join by clicking the link below. If you are a member and are having trouble finding your account or need help signing up, please email staff for support.

Membership Options

As a compost professional in Colorado, it is important that you have a voice and a vote in your leading organics industry organization. Full voting membership in the Colorado Composting Council (COCC) requires membership in both our national compost association, the US Composting Council (USCC), and our state material management non-profit, Recycle Colorado (RC). The COCC is a state chapter of the USCC that is connected to Recycle Colorado. Through its association with the USCC and RC, the COCC advocates to improve composting infrastructure, end markets, product standards and policy.

Contributing Commercial (Business/Producer) - $500

  • For entities that wish to support the Colorado Compost Council at the highest level

Large Commercial Partner (Business, Producer, or Industrial) - $250

  • Business: An entity that has an annual revenue of $10M or greater
  • Producer: Compost Producer that has more than 50,000 cubic yards of feedstock and in process material on-site at any one time

Small Commercial Partner (Business or Producer) - $125

  • Business: An entity that has an annual revenue of $10M or less
  • Producer: Compost Producer that has less than 50,000 cubic yards of feedstock and in process material on-site at any one time

Municipality/NGO/Institution - $125

  • City, Trade Organization or University

Individual - $25
