Recycle Colorado's Poster Contest: Submit your Artwork!

All of Colorado’s K-12 students are invited to showcase their artistic talent and commitment to composting by participating in Recycle Colorado’s 16th Annual Poster Contest. This year's theme is Colorado Loves Clean Compost. We hope you will help us show the LOVE Colorado's youth has for CLEAN compost.

Participating Schools, Organizations, and Students: The guidelines for the 2023 Poster Contest are all included in the Participant Packet. Please download the document to receive everything you will need to participate. You can also download the Participant Packet for sharing and distribution purposes. 2023 Poster Contest Participant Packet


Contest Guidelines

One first place winner from each age group will receive a $100 gift card.

Each first place winners’ teacher/classroom/school will receive a $100 gift card for room supplies.

The top three winners from each age group will have the opportunity to tour a Composting Facility nearest to them in Colorado.

Winning artwork will be used to help promote Colorado Recycles Week, celebrated the third week in November, and International Composting Awareness Week, the second week in May. 

We hope your school, the schools in your district, your organization or business will participate! The contest rules and judging criteria can be found on downloadable and sharable document found above. Talking points on composting are included for teachers, if they want to provide a mini-lesson to students while introducing the contest. We look forward to working with you. 2022 Poster Contest

Last year's theme was "The Journey of Recycling".
