During last month’s business meeting and technical work session, members of Colorado’s Producer Responsibility Advisory Board were presented with an overview of the Lubricant Packaging Management Association's (LPMA) Individual Program Plan (IPP). This presentation prompted a robust discussion amongst CDPHE and the Producer Responsibility Advisory board, discussions which underscored an exciting reality: as 2024 comes to a close, this program is one step closer to materializing. 

In just a few short months, CDPHE and the Producer Responsibility Advisory Board will be in the throes of reviewing both LPMA’s IPP proposal and CAA’s Plan Proposal. This review process will be meticulous, detail driven, and accompanied by a host of meetings between the board, CDPHE, and CAA/LPMA staff. The meetings are sure to be highly engaging and full of productive discussions. Next week, the advisory board will hold its 33rd business meeting. The meeting will be conducted virtually and will take place on December 11, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. During this meeting, The board will be introduced to CAA Chief Executive Officer, Jeff Fielkow, and CAA will debrief the advisory board on the updates they have made to their eco-modulation methodology, and their education and outreach strategy.
