Wompost, which stands for Woman-Owned Composting, is a for-profit social enterprise. It is the only compost collection and delivery service based in Aurora, Colorado and services surrounding areas. Wompost provides a simple way to recycle biodegradable waste into compost. They also provide easy and affordable drop-off sites throughout their service area and sell compost soil in bulk.
Wompost is hiring a Director of Operations. This teammate will be the go-to manager for our team of drivers. This means preparing routes, responding to emergency situations like accidents or equipment malfunctions, and hiring and managing our team of drivers. To be successful, they will be an excellent list maker, and communicator. These two characteristics are key so we can set our drivers up for success each day without missing any details, and also to help their team do their best work by understanding and addressing their concerns. They must also be able to do the core work of our business, which is driving routes, and drive at least two days per week. They must be able to pick up 50 lbs repeatedly, and perform manual labor efficiently.
