Front Range Waste Diversion Grant Program

The first Request for Applications under the Front Range Waste Diversion (FRWD) enterprise and grant program is now available: RFA #31245: Advancing Front Range Communities Up The “Zero Waste Ladder.” An updated RFA #31245 (version 2), which clarifies that the 50% match for equipment/infrastructure is required for haulers or landfill owners or operators only, was posted July 24.

In May 2019, Governor Polis signed SB19-192 into law. The bill created the Front Range Waste Diversion Grant Program for Colorado’s Front Range communities funded by an increase in the landfill user fee. The grant program is overseen by a 13-member board of directors as well as department administrative staff.
