Golden has an opening for a Zero Waste Coordinator, a new position that will focus on and help drive our waste diversion efforts. Under direction of the Sustainability Manager, this position assists with the implementation of the waste diversion targets set forth in the City’s Sustainability Goals. The Coordinator will work with City departments and external entities in the course of promoting and advancing sustainability programs for both the organization and the community. Work with established recycling and composting programs including the City’s Pay-As-You-Throw residential collection program with many opportunities to help the City grow into new diversion possibilities. This position requires a high level of customer service and communication with a variety of waste collection contractors. This posting closes on 9/25/22 but early applications are encouraged.
