PaintCare proposed amendment request to increase program assessment structure

On July 9th, 2025, PaintCare proposed an amendment to the Colorado Paint Stewardship Program plan requesting an increase to the program assessment structure.  Per 25-17-404(3)(a) C.R.S., the Executive Director shall approve or reject a plan in writing within ninety days after the receipt of the plan and therefore, should provide a response to PaintCare by October 7th, 2025. The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) has opened a 30 day public comment period for PaintCare’s proposed amendment to the Colorado Paint Stewardship Program plan through Sunday, August 10th, 2025. CDPHE will consider all public comments received before deciding whether to approve or reject the plan.

To increase the amount of film and flexible packaging from communities, Circular Colorado is inviting school districts across the state to join the Circular Transportation Network (CTN), a program of Circular Colorado and the CEDC. The CTN is funded in part by a grant from The Recycling Partnership to support the initiation of a collection system to collect, consolidate and recycle film and flexible packaging.
