To transform Colorado into a national leader in organic waste recovery and market development.
Mission of COCC
The Colorado Composting Council works to grow composting infrastructure and capacity through organics recovery, creation of end markets and by driving local and state policies that support these goals and require standards for compost use.
As a state chapter of the US Composting Council, we also work to increase the diversion of organic materials for composting and to make finished compost more accessible to potential end markets, particularly in agriculture. We have developed a strategic plan and work regularly on multiple projects in pursuit of these goals.
