You Get What You Give!
If you ask our members how they get the most out of their Recycle Colorado membership, they will likely say, by being involved.
Recycle Colorado is a hands on organization that gives its members the opportunity to grow.
Almost every month, opportunities to engage with fellow members, in policy, events, and local communities are shared with our members. The more you participate, speak up, give suggestions and interact with members, the more you will get out of your membership. Even our quieter members, who listen in on monthly meetings, gain value just by being in the room.
What is the best way to engage with Recycle Colorado?
There are many opportunities for members to engage within our membership. They can range in engagement from showing up and being apart of a day, to being a leader and shaping Colorado's waste diversion future. Choose your own adventure as you navigate the many benefits to ensure that you are getting the most out of your membership.

- Battery Stewardship for Colorado
-
During the 2025 Legislative Session, Recycle Colorado partnered with the National Waste and Recycling Association (NWRA), to advance battery stewardship for small and medium format batteries as a measure to keep them out of the diversion stream and reduce the safety risks that they cause.
-
- Colorado Circular Communities Enterprise (C3)
- In 2024, along with running our own tire rebate program legislation, Recycle Colorado with its members, supported the revisions to the state's waste diversion funding program. C3 officially replaced the Recycling Resources Economic Opportunity (RREO) program and the Front Range Waste Diversion (FRWD) Enterprise program.
- By consolidating these initiatives, C3 modernizes pollution prevention efforts across the state, streamlines operations, and provides greater flexibility for funding and technical assistance for all of Colorado.
- Producer Responsibility for Packaging and Paper
- One of our biggest collaborative legislative efforts was passing producer responsibility for Colorado.Â
- HB22-1355 was a culmination of 2+ years of work with members, stakeholders, legislators  and lobbyists to ensure each member's feedback was incorporated into the legislation's language.
