A brainstorm session on how to reduce, and eventually eliminate, single-use plastic waste RSVP REQUIRED The Single-Use Plastic Waste Reduction Round Table will provide municipality staff, sustainability board/committee members, Chamber of Commerce representatives and large retailers a facilitated space to come together and brainstorm ideas to reduce, and eventually eliminate, single-use plastic waste such as bags, containers, straws and packaging. Plastic waste is environmentally unfriendly and contaminates our land and waterways. Plastic bags can take 10-20 years to decompose and plastic bottles take 450 years to decompose. The outcome will be to outline the action steps that can be taken now to move towards the reduction and eventual elimination and replacement of these single-use plastics.
