Marisa Adler of RRS, will speak about her research on textile waste in the US and actions municipalities can take to advance circular textiles. Dan Rain, Chair of the NYSAR3 Textile Recovery Campaign and Recycling Coordinator of Bethlehem, NY, will then discuss the Re-Clothe NY Campaign to encourage residents to donate and recycle their unwanted clothing and household textiles. Then, John Fischer of MassDEP will speak about the state's recently proposed textile waste disposal ban and how textiles became a focus for policy in Massachusetts.
