The 2024 NextCycle Colorado Pitch Competition was an energizing showcase of creativity and dedication, highlighting the innovative spirit within our community. We're deeply grateful to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) for the opportunity to collaborate with such exceptional individuals and organizations committed to driving positive change.

This event marked the culmination of a rigorous four-month business accelerator program facilitated by NextCycle Colorado and funded by CDPHE, where participants diligently pursued projects aimed at creating and enhancing recycling and composting markets within our state. These projects were designed not only to address existing gaps, but also to catalyze tangible improvements in waste management practices and environmental sustainability. 

Meet the Winners
In an exciting competition, we are proud to announce Renegade Plastics as this 2024 NextCycle Colorado Pitch Competition Winner! Renegade Plastics diverts construction and demolition waste by recycling it into polypropylene plastic-coated fabrics, creating a closed-loop system for industrial textiles while reducing dependence on virgin materials. Congratulations to Renegade Plastics for their remarkable achievement and unwavering dedication to advancing the circular economy in Colorado! 

Additionally, we're excited to recognize EsterCycle as the recipient of the People's Choice Award. This Golden, Colorado-based company has designed a circular recycling system for compostable and single-use food packaging and was awarded the People’s Choice award at the event. Their exceptional contribution to end-of-life plastics circularity resonated deeply with our audience, earning them this well-deserved accolade.
