“The winners are great models for other communities and professionals on what can be done, and what works, across the state,” said Lisa Skumatz, principal of Skumatz Economic Research Associates and board member of Recycle Colorado, who chaired the awards selection committee. “We were really energized to see the great nominees during these difficult times.”
The awards were presented in a virtual ceremony in early August. Winners receive a custom upcycled award made from old circuit boards that is produced by Tech Wears. “We hope these awards inspire our winners to continue with their excellent work that benefits our communities, our state and our planet,” said Amy Randell, associate executive director of Recycle Colorado. “Although we missed meeting in person, we hope the video of the event can be seen by a larger audience and inspire others to do the hard work as well.” Winners receive a custom upcycled award made from old circuit boards that is produced by TechWears.
