Fort Collins is hiring two permanent positions on their Waste Reduction and Recycling Team

Sr Specialist, Environmental Sustainability: This position supports the community’s values and adopted Zero Waste goals through equity-centered communications and engagement aimed at increasing recycling and waste diversion. This position will also participate in strategic municipal and community efforts, such as the implementation of Our Climate Future, and partner with the community to achieve these outcomes. This position may also help coordinate Environmental Services communications, in partnership with the Communications and Public Involvement Office, on topics including improving indoor and outdoor air quality and implementing climate action, and coordinate volunteers. In addition to the key competencies listed below, the team welcomes candidates with a range of experiences, ranging from community organizing and Spanish-language fluency to anti-racism training and knowledge of fundamentals of environmental planning.
